Spectacular twin storms flickering away on the horizon inland of Broome.  These storms went on to produce 'Red Sprites' a rare form of upper atmosphere lightning discharge.

'CHAOS Hour'
No other word to explain this storm in Broome other than absolute Chaos. One of the most intense little storms I have seen for a long time. Quite the rush when it hit.

'Christmas Day Show Stopper'

'Skies Light Up'
Christmas Eve and a lightning strike hitting behind us illuminates the scene all around. An amazing storm system with such a variety of cloud structures and lightning. It was hard to know where to point the camera. Spoilt for choice. Sadly only 0.2mm for Broome fell in the rain gauge.

'Fire in the Sky'
Stormy long exposure sunset at the end of a 3 day heat wave for Broome. Standing as big rain drops fell from the sky the cold drops were the ultimate relief.

'Solo Bolt'
Lightning zigs and zags, jumps and reaches out afar. Sometimes it just drops straight down the line. A beautifully timed bolt lands off Cable Beach the other day as the sun lights the blue waters of Broome.

BOOM.  One of those moments where the night sky turns daylight, you let out a shriek of excitement.  Cable Beach in one of the storms of the wet season.  Freezing a moment in time.
